The Fear Audit

Fear isn’t a sign you shouldn’t do something. It’s usually a sign you actually care about the idea. This worksheet is built around one simple fact: an unnamed fear is the number one reason creative businesses never launch, and once you write a fear down in specific terms it tends to lose most of its grip.

You start by checking off every fear that’s actually living in your head, fear of judgment, fear of failure, fear of success, fear of being copied, imposter syndrome, and a few others most people don’t say out loud. Then you take your top three and run each one through the same three questions: is this based on evidence or just an assumption, what’s the actual worst case, and what would you do if that worst case happened.

The last section flips the whole thing around. What would you do with your time and energy if these fears weren’t in the way? What would you regret more in five years, trying and failing, or never trying at all? It ends with one small action you commit to taking this week anyway, on purpose small enough to feel almost embarrassing, because that’s usually the right size to actually start.
