The most beloved products aren’t just purchased, they’re experienced. People come back because of how something makes them feel, not just what it does. This worksheet helps you design that on purpose instead of leaving it to chance.
You’ll map your customer’s full journey in six stages, discovery, first purchase, unboxing, first use, the return, and telling others, but instead of describing what happens at each step you’re describing what they feel. What are they feeling the moment they first notice your product? What’s the peak emotional moment during first use? What’s the trigger that makes them reach for it again?
From there you break the experience down into its actual ingredients: the trigger, the reward, the feeling at its peak, and the moment that keeps them coming back. Then you make it multisensory, checking off which senses your product currently touches (touch, smell, taste, sound, time) and brainstorming how to add the ones it’s missing. It ends with one concrete addition you could make right now to push the experience further, a handwritten note, specific wording, an
